Daily Activities & Classes

Day-time Bingo: Bingo is played on Tuesdays from 12:45 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.  Players pay $.25 for two cards.

Evening Bingo: Every Thursday night; Doors open at 5p.m., game begins at 6:30 ($18/13 games)

Bridge: Mondays, Wednesdays &Thursdays @ 12:45 p.m. A $2.25 fee is charged.

Cribbage: The beginners/brush up groups meets at 12:45 on Fridays. A $2.25 fee is charged.

Dominoes: All levels are welcomed at 12:45 on Mondays A $2.25 fee is charged.

Double-Deck Pinochle: Thursday at 12:45pm. A $2.00 fee is charged and most Friday evenings (call center to check schedule) at 7 p.m.

Knit & Crochet: Wednesdays, 12:45-3 p.m.

Mah-Jong: Thursdays 12:45pm, A $2.00 fee is charged.

Quilting: Fridays 10am (Downstairs in back of Underground Thrift Store) Free

Scrabble: All levels of players are welcomed to come on Wednesday at 12:45 pm. Beginner and Advanced games. A $2.25 fee is charged.

T'ai Chi: Tai Chi for Arthritis is held on Mondays at 9:15 a.m. Tai Chi is held on Wednesdays at 9:15 a.m. For more information click here.  A $5.00 Fee is charged.

Yoga: Yoga is offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday at 9:00 am. A $5.00 fee is charged.   *Chair Yoga is on Wednesdays (ends May 29th) from 3-4pm.

Special Activities

African Dance 7pm-8:30pm on Tuesday at the Missoula Senior Center. It is $10 per class or $35 for 4 classes. It is open to the public.

Contra Dancing with the Missoula Folklore Society: 1st & 3rd Saturdays 7:30-11pm

Origami First Friday Folders: First Fridays 1-3pm (no experience necessary, supplies provided)

Greeting Card Making Group: 2nd Monday of each month 1-3pm (no experience necessary, supplies provided)

SENIOR HIKERS


Temps are warm, and it’s time to dust off that day pack, water bottle, and grab a stick! Our Board has approved a new activity, free to all interested folks. Below are a few hikes to get us started. See you on the trail!

This group is completely free. Everyone is welcome!

Wed. May 15 Easy flat circuit hike of 3 miles. Slow to moderate pace. Look for early wild flowers and maybe a heron along the river. Leave Senior Center 9:30AM and back in time for that good lunch. Bring water. Tennis shoes OK. Sign in at the office. Leader: Anne Reinhart

Wed. May 22 Blue Mountain. Approx. 5 miles of moderate terrain. Loose rocks on wide part of trail. Slow to moderate pace. We’ll hike up to the vista, then make a gradual downhill. Views of a butte and the Bitterroot River. Leave Senior Center 9:30AM, carpooling to trailhead. Bring water & maybe a snack. Lunch on your own after the hike. Sturdy footwear and poles recommended. Sign in at the office. Leader: Anne Reinhart

Wed. June 5 Easy flat walk to “Lunch Out” at Caras Park. Less than 1 mile. Enjoy food, music, carousel, etc., then re-group for departure. Bring water if it’s a hot day. Leave Senior Center 10:30AM. Sign in at office. Leader: Anne Reinhart

MONDAY JULY 1:  Walk to Rose Garden on Brooks. Leave 10:00 A.M. from SENIOR CENTER. We will be back in time for lunch.  MIX OF SUN & SHADE.  BRING WATER.  Wide brimmed hat recommended.  Leader: Anne Reinhart.  Sign in at office.
